W11 "Walk This Way"
This song is such a standard and pretty iconic, that is why I chose to write about it. I really liked the music video when we watched in class. It was fun to see these two competing at the beginning with rapping and then this hard rock. As the video goes on they go from a fight into a performance. I really liked it and have always heard the song but did not realize how iconic it really is. I didn't know much about Run-DMC and it was cool to see the foundation that they gave for rap. They really got it on the charts and got it to become a genre which is such an impressive feat. This collaboration also shows how diverse and mixed the music got too. Leading to today's day its hard to specifically identify some songs into one genre. Which I think is way cool that there isn't limits placed on musicians today for them to create however they want! I like Aerosmith and the lead singers voice! It's crazy how he can make it so raspy and sound like that! Overall it is just an ama...
